Wake Up, My Child 1994

Your eyes are open, but you can't see.
I speak to you, but you don't listen.
I hear your prayer, but you don't like my answer.
I feel your pain, but you won't let me comfort.
I know your emptiness, but you won't let me in.
I touch you, but you are numb.
I am with you, but you think you're alone.
I am the music, but you won't sing.
I am the water, but you won't drink.
I am the food, but you won't eat.
I am the way, but you keep wandering.
I am the truth, but you won't believe.
I am the life, but you gamble it away.
I am alive, but you are asleep.
I am real, but you want to dream.
Wake up, my child,
before the nightmare.
